Cagayan de Oro City | New Bus Terminal and Market - Save More

Just few days ago, we opted to commute and took the aircon bus on our way to Cagayan de Oro City to accompany my daughter and my wife to Domestic Airport. We then observed that the new bus terminal and the market city located in Agora, Lapasan, Cagayan de Oro City has now set to almost 100% of its completion.

This is indeed another milestone of Cagayan de Oro City for now. All they need is only to focus on political will not on personal will, to adopt change especially on new development like this one.

The City is now gearing up towards the idea of "green development" concept, which is the new concept of development today. They provided a proper place for proper disposal of their garbage and having a clean comfort room for travelers.

When was the Old Agora Public Market and Terminal was constructed? I remember that it was constructed in the early 80's when I was still in High School freshman year. It is more or less 30 years when the old one was totally demolished and replaced by this one.
At least, the design is internationally boost up and competitive.
For now, since the Bus Terminal is still in progress towards its completion, the above passage is temporarily accessed by passengers through this portion of the market.
 The Facade of Save More...
Cagayan de Oro City today is on its path to fast development because the International Airport in El Salvador, Misamis Oriental will be completed soon. So, fasten your seat belt for more opportunities on businesses, employments and investments on property, more establishment to be opened especially in transportation industry.

El Salvador is located in Misamis Oriental and it is estimated about 20 kilometers from Cagayan de Oro City Proper.

What is the effect on this new development?

Negative Effect :
1. The Domestic Airport will then be closed and be transferred to this new airport and establishments at the old airport will  eventually be displaced.
2. Bukidnon people who preferred plane will eventually increase their travel time to reach this new airport.

Positive Effect:
1. Increase in the property valuation in the immediate vicinity of the International Airport.
2. Opens new Business Opportunities.
3. Reduction of worsening unemployment rate.
4. Bukidnon would probably install a domestic airport for easy access and deployment of local produce to end users. The question here is where in Bukidnon will be the appropriate site? Maramag is one of the choices because of its proximity also to Davao.

  2. Hello!

I visited CDO last month and I was surprised on its progress and development especially here in the Agora Bus Terminal. When my brother-in-law sent me off up to Agora to ride an aircon bus back to Davao, I was amazed of this newly constructed bus terminal with clean comfort rooms which is very important for the travelers.

I do hope that the progress and development of CDO will continue coz even though I love Davao City now but half of my heart still belongs here. Thanks for posting!

    James,

That would the possible or the most possible thing to happen. The terminal is also one of the potential fee to increase. :-). At least hindi na siyo mabaho at sira sira ng building, kagaya dati. Nakakahiya yon.

Clean comfort rooms should be the basics of this new development. They have to improve all the necessary facilities to draw good impression. The problem on how they will sustain the cleanliness of their comfort rooms.

  5. I must say that Cagayan de Oro has by far progressed so much compared to the last time I visited the place. There are a lot of establishments there. But then in every places, there is always the goods and the bads so that is normal for CDO to have that negative somethings as well.

  7. @Cagayan de Oro Map.

You are right. There are always the goods and the bads in every places. Just a matter of political will to do more that good things than negative things. At least on the negative, it will then turn to a positive one later. Thanks for visiting my site.:-).
