Fly-overs are the immediate solution in vehicular traffic decongestion. Bulk of travelers from Bukidnon and Butuan City worsen the vehicular traffic within this vicinity. To lessen the bulk of vehicular traffic, the vehicles plying to East-West route or CDO-Butuan route should be diverted, thus, this project was conceptualized.

As Bukidnon Travelers, we can now feel the easing up of vehicular traffic especially when you are approaching this junction road. So, congratulations to the prime movers of Cagayan de Oro City, especially the City Planning and Development Office, who is the Architect of this new development, in coming up with this brilliant vehicular traffic solution---the Fly-over.

  1. cebu is trying to come up with a sustainable plan in order to have a sustainable and livable city. true to what you've said, they are immediate solutions to a traffic problem. however, they are a permanent fixture but the population is not. more and more cars increase a year, but the flyover stays the same.

take the case for example of the flyovers in Banilad and Ayala in cebu. the flyovers are now becoming problems themselves.

currently, we were able to stop more flyovers from being built here in cebu, much to the joy of the to-be-affected residents, business owners, and environmentalists.

some of europe's countries are demolishing their flyover. it has spread to some states of the US as well. the broader picture of sustainability is now getting mainstream - following it would give us immense benefits. :)

Dwin, I agree with these thoughts of you about sustainable development on how to be sustained totally. Development cant be controlled, only the implementation of another infrastructures and that is if our leaders has that political will.

With regards to the increase of vehicular traffic, we dont have also laws that regulates on that, like until 10 years of car's lifespan, it should considered as a scarp materials. Our government is very lenient on this part.

Even surplus vehicles, the sad truth, we became the wasteland of Southeast Asia sight now or the dumping site of Asia.

I admired the stand of Cebu's leadership about stopping more construction of flyovers.

Thank you this additional info of yours. Such an informative one.:-).
