Cagayan de Oro City | New Bus Terminal and Market - Save More

Just few days ago, we opted to commute and took the aircon bus on our way to Cagayan de Oro City to accompany my daughter and my wife to Domestic Airport. We then observed that the new bus terminal and the market city located in Agora, Lapasan, Cagayan de Oro City has now set to almost 100% of its completion.

This is indeed another milestone of Cagayan de Oro City for now. All they need is only to focus on political will not on personal will, to adopt change especially on new development like this one.

RECONQUERING MANILA | Series 16 | Famous Landmarks

"I love skycrapers-but I hate heights because of phobia"
If you are from the Province and haven't been set foot yet in Manila, and if the name Roxas Boulevard is being mentioned, we then know that this Boulevard is facing the most visited and photograph place, the Sunset in Manila Bay. That is undeniable, since this shoreline Boulevard has been made popular because it is being taught to us in the Classroom, especially on Social Studies, Civics, and history books.

After my long walk in reconquering manila, I stopped for a moment and sat down on the edge of one of the plant boxes in this park, and take the opportunity to see some of the Skycrapers lined up along this famous landmark and took some photos on them.

I Wanna Grow Old with You | My Home, My Town, My Hometown

The Provincial Capitol Ground sits on Malaybalay City being as the Capital of Bukidnon

In almost all of the occasions that I have attended, like last March this year, knowing me and where I've been, they would then ask, why I chose Malaybalay City as my second home? My home and my town?. That was indeed a very difficult question if you have had worked in a bustling, crowded and busy district of Makati, and if at that moment, that question was thrown and you are still deciding to transfer. A hard question if it entails to come up a major decision especially in moving-in from one place to another.

RECONQUERING MANILA | Series 15 | The Reflection of Yesterday : Rizal Park, Luneta Park and The Bagumbayan

Still on the 2nd day of reconquering manila series. This post is dedicated to the 150 years of Jose Rizal (1861-2011) on June 19, 2011, coincides with my grandpa's birthdate.

The Highlights of the Rizal Park:
Dr. Jose Rizal was born on June 19, 1861 in Calamba, Laguna to Don Francisco Mercado Rizal from Biñan and Doña Teodora Alonso Realonda from Manila. It was said that his paternal grand-parents were descendants of one Domingo Lamco, a Chinese immigrant from the Chinchew District of Fookein, China. Doña Teodora’s father Don Lorenzo Alberto Alonso was also said to be very “Chinese in appearance.”
In compliance with the 1849 decree of Governor-General Claveria regarding surnames, the Alonsos added the surname Realonda, while the Mercados chose Rizal, meaning “of rice” or “of green fields.”

RECONQUERING MANILA | Series 14 | Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila

When I finished my VISITA IGLESIA on this 2nd day of reconquering manila series, I decided to visit the Luneta Park or the Rizal Park, just a walking distance from the Intramuros or the Walled City. With baggages with me, I still chose to walk along this path of Intramuros, the General Luna Street. When I spotted the PLM or the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila,

Ongpin or Chinatown may not be so popular for some people here in the Philippines, but Ongpin is one of the oldest districts in Manila. Here you can find lots of business establishments where you can shop affordable clothings and garments, various electronics products and jewelries. Ongpin is popular in Jewelries. It is where we bought our wedding ring, way back in 1994. You can also buy the famous, delicious Chinese delicacy hopia, the Eng Bee Tin Hopia .

Ongpin is more affordable than what you'd find in other cities like Makati or even Quezon City. This name Ongpin is a name of street here in Binondo, Manila.
