Chinese New Year : Kung Hei Fat Choi

Kung Hei Fat Choi

Chinese New Year is often referred to as the "Lunar New Year". It is often celebrated in the first month of the year. In China it is known as the "Spring Festival". In the Philippines, it is celebrated on the 23rd day of January 2012. Our Chinese brothers and Sisters were here in our country centuries ago, but it is only in this year that per Presidential Proclamation 295, the 23rd of January 2012, declared as special (non-working) day.

This is to pay respect of our Chinese Filipino brethren who have been part of our lives in all walks of life, in such many respects as a country and as a people.

To my dear readers, friends, relatives and followers of Con Tour Blog, as Native Filipino Christian, allow me to sincerely greet you a Happy and Bountiful New Year. To  my Chinese friends, Kung Hei Fat Choi to all of you.

To our Almighty Creator, thank you for all the trials and blessings that you have given to us in 2011.  It was indeed a year that Con Tour Blog is grateful.

Con tour Blog welcomes 2012, the year of the Dragon with a heart full of Faith and Humility.
