A Flower like electric lamp was displayed in our workplace when I noticed the glaring mode of colors when it was lighted right in front of me. If we move the camera closer to this subject, it will look like an abstract to me.

After the Storm, Run to Help YOLANDA SURVIVORS

Photo credit : Raph Heria of Iclique Fotografia and a fellow BPBS. Entitled this photo as "Together We Can Help".

"Everyone is involved. Or maybe everyone must get involve".

This is just a simple phrase that came to my mind when a priest, in the Diocese of Malaybalay, Father Robert, posted in his facebook wall the call to help our brothers and sisters who are survivors from the tropical depression YOLANDA that struck almost the whole Visayas peninsula.

Photo Shoot : Sunrise in Duka Bay Resort

I woke up early in the morning at around 3:00 a.m. just to take this shot at Duka Bay Resort in Medina, Misamis Oriental last summer in 2013, this year. Chasing the Sunrise as I may call this one. I used the live view of my camera to test what I learned about the long exposure technique in taking photos on sunrise. Since this was only a practice on long exposure, at least I've learned that using ND Filter when there is still no light available is not recommended. I used ND8 Filter with 3 stops.

London is Calling...

London is truly an awesome City to visit, full of fantastic sights and things to do. I regularly go for short holidays in London, because I have family who live in Ealing, which is in West London. From there the rest of the City is easily accessible via the London underground and other forms of transportation. The Olympics in 2012 lit the city up, and the whole atmosphere about London was completely different, despite the extra queuing to get to places.

Getting around in London

One of the best things that I noticed when I was travelling across London was the Oyster card. It’s a small blue contactless credit-card sized card which stores public transportation tickets. All you have to do is top it up every now and then, plus it is cheaper than buying normal paper tickets. Driving in London is really not recommended, firstly because the cost of parking is extortionate, and secondly because of the congestion charges in Central London. Realistically, the public transportation is so efficient in London; there is no need for cars.Things to do in London, activities and things to see

A Coffee Shop at the Middle of Agri Land

I sometimes contemplating to quit on sharing my travel experiences nowadays. For reason(s) that there are still some places that I considered that are not safe for a traveler like me. I am a family man. A lone breadwinner for a family of two kids. I don't want to leave them behind because of the reason that I risk myself in visiting a place where bomb threats and war are present. I do love to travel from one place to another. Not because I just want to see these places in person but also to discover more on our Philippine's gems. I love visiting places where festivals are uniquely celebrated. Exposing to the world on how colorful our festivals are and on how hospitable Filipinos are.

Miami is a melting pot, not just because of the heat. With such a confluence of cultures, Miami has gained a reputation as an international playground for the rich and famous. New adventures across the Pacific: outdoor attractions in Cuba

There are many remarkable sights to behold within the Philippines. Pristine and white beaches, cities that are rich in culture and excitement, incredible trekking and fascinating underwater worlds like in Tubataha Reef and Palawan diving sites. These attractions are impressive, but were Archipelagically spread out over many islands, separated by sea and with long hours of travel if by commercial ship.  Other islands right now had already its own airports except for some that can only be reached by boat.

Holidays to Cuba offer adventurous visitors a rare chance to experience incredible geographic and cultural diversity within a relatively compact island. Within a few hours you can travel from the vibrant cosmopolitan culture of Havana to the remote wilderness of the Sierra Maestra. Cuba is so much more than beach clubs and coconut cocktails and for outdoor enthusiasts, there are several highlights to choose from. Take the Viñales Valley: a broad flat area featuring beautiful and unusual limestone karst hills called mogotes.

Photo Shoot : Unexpected Result

I actually about to go home when I spotted these littered flowers from a so-called "Golden Tree" at the Provincial Capitol Ground and just wanted to try a couple of shots and test the result using my Samsung Champ cellphone. Upon seeing the big stone just rested at the nearby, I then checked the possible composition of the photo.

I've got a chance to visit again this part of the City of Malaybalay wherein the site is the most visited place for some outdoor enthusiasts, like trekking activity. This is located within the Barangay Can-ayan of the City of Malaybalay. It is just about a 7 kilometers trek to the so-called two-trees from the Kaamulan Provincial Tree Park or from Gawad Kalinga Subdivision.

Mt. Matutum

While we were in transit to General Santos City from Tacurong City, I spotted this imposing and beautiful view of Mount Matutum of South Cotabato which I didn't wasted my time to take a snapshot. Luckily, the road was part of the important elements in going to that beautiful mountain and adding to other elements in this photo are the riceland and the clouds that looks like a spewed smoke from the volcano's crater.

Issues and Concerns on the new Airport in Misamis Oriental

Photo Credits : Tan Tyra Cinco (facebook)

There are lots of apprehensions or critiques on the new Airport in Misamis Oriental when it was opened last June 15, 2013.

"Loose security measures, "colorum" or illegal transport service, cleanliness and lack of trash bins are just some of the main issues and concerns raised by the commuters in the recently opened Laguindingan Airport in Misamis Oriental"-as Sunstar's reporter Abigail C. Malalis stressed out on her article entitled" CAAP's Challenge : Laguindingan Airport Woes.

But Bukidnon commuters who are bound for Manila or to any other key cities in the country raised some issues that the travel time in going to the Laguindingan Airport from Bukidnon will now be extended for another minutes thus prolonging also the agony and inconvenience in commuting. However, this is only applies to the commuters. But those who has service vehicle, they will also experience a prolong driving time in going to the new airport.

Some Bukidnon residents, especially those that are residing in the Southern Bukidnon, raised also their options that its better to go to Davao International Airport than going to the new airport in Misamis Oriental.
But it is more convenient that the proposed Bukidnon airport as cited by Bukidnon News (sourced also from CAAP) will be realized as soon as possible in order to expedite the delivery of goods and cut the cost in transporting them.  The Feasibility Study is expected to be done on July 2013, further stressed out by the CAAP personnel and hopefully that this will not take 22 years to build as cited by Interaksyon about the Laguindingan Airport.
But it is more convenient that the proposed Bukidnon airport will be realized as soon as possible in order to expedite the delivery of goods and cut the cost in transporting them.

How to Cut the Cost of Travel Insurance

When you're going away, you should know that arranging appropriate travel insurance is an essential part of your holiday. Without it, you could be liable for huge medical bills if you have an accident or fall ill while you're abroad - so it certainly pays to take out the right level of cover. First and foremost, you should make sure that the policy you choose is adequate for your needs and will cover you should the worst happen. But if you're hoping to find cheap holiday insurance, there are a number of ways to help keep the costs down.

For starters, make sure you're only paying for what you need. For instance, there's no need to take out annual cover if you're only going away once this year, and equally, don't buy single trip cover if there's a strong chance you'll go abroad again within the next year or so, otherwise it will cost you much more in the long run.

Another way to find cheap holiday insurance is to use a comparison website. This can help you to get a good idea of the market and to weigh up the policies available across the majority of key travel insurance providers. It can also helps you to compare the prices too, which is a helpful way of finding out which is the cheapest - and which offers the best value for money. Make sure you opt for reputable sites, and equally, only consider high quality insurance providers - after all, if you need to make a claim, you want to make sure you have the best chance of receiving the pay-out.

Find out more about travel insurance online through tour operators like Thomas Cook. Visit their insurance information page here for further details on their range of policies and to find out how to book: http://www.thomascook.com/holiday-extras/travel-insurance/.

Sarangani : A quick stop at Alabel, the seat of the Provincial Capitol of Sarangani

If you are into photography right now, and you have stumbled this type of rare structures in our country through the net, chances like this one and you are on this place or will pass to this place en route to General Santos City from Gumasa White Sand Beach, you would not waste this rare chance to take some snapshots on this beautiful Provincial Government Building of Alabel, Sarangani.
Alabel is the seat of the Provincial Government and it is the Capital Municipality of the Sarangani Province. It has 5.0 has more or less of total area covering the Capitol's compound.

I was able to ask another favor from Doc Remo Aguilar, a fellow travel blogger in Mindanao, who serviced us from our jaunt in Gumasa White Sand Beach, a quick stop just to take some snapshots of this awesome architecture of this town. The architectural design itself is a tourist eye captivating site.
Some places of interest and activity when you visit the Municipality of Alabel :

Montana Resort- a resort which is ideal for a family vacation and weekend getaway. Alabel town is the first town you will pass if you are from General Santos City and Montana resort is the first tourist spot when visiting the Province of Sarangani.(photo credit : Sarangani Government Site).

Photo Shoot : Sunrise in San Jose, Malaybalay City

Sunrise in San Jose, Malaybalay City, Bukidnon, I can say is really of spectacular sceneries that I've shot in this Region.

Seeing a vast area of corn and sugarcane field with clouds kissing the mountain ranges and the sun's rays like this one is really an amazing and soothing to the eye.  Its just like communing with nature and talking to our Creator.
I volunteered last time as one of the official event photographers stationed at the 21 km during the San Miguel Half Marathon sports event, organized by Panahik Adventure Centre

Its just hitting two birds in one bullet. I chose to stay about half kilometer from the turning point of the 21 km station when I saw this beautiful view of sunrise.
