Road Side Restaurant : Kafeneio, revisited

Established sometime in early 2000, Kafeneio is very much visible as a road side restaurant in Impasug-ong here in the Province of Bukidnon. Owned by Ms. Irish Lavinia, Kafeneio has its own favorites for diner's choice and you would love to revisit again. It is actually another chance to revisit because our bank clients brought as here as a lunch treat after our Project Monitoring Progress visit of their poultry farm.

Malaybalay City : Monastery of Transfiguration at Dawn

I visited Monastery of Transfiguration several times since we live here for about 22 years. But at this time, its a different story. We stayed here overnight. Why stayed overnight? It's because, the attached privilege as one of the leaders in our community, is the leadership retreat. Yup, you heard me right. The monastery of transfiguration has this kind of accommodation in their compound. Provided that the stay is similar of this kind, such as retreats and recollections. Bookings are to be arranged ahead with the in-charge.

Transportation : Flagdown Rate of Taxi reduced to P30

Taxi meter is the common gauge for total payments a passenger could pay based on the distance traveled. At least, for honest drivers, they usually based the fare rate on a meter prescribed by an authorized government Agency. Here in the Philippines, the authorized agency is the LTFRB or the Land Transportation and Franchising Regulatory Board. In the first quarter of this year, March 2016 this year, LTFRB officially reduced a Taxi Meter Flagdown Rate from P40  to P30 pesos. They also include the Airport Taxis from P70 pesos to P60 pesos.

Lantapan : A simple glimpse of their Poblacion Plaza

Development can be seen as a constant factor of change in a landscape of one's place. And one of the visible icon of this change is the "plaza" of a certain place.

Plaza is a colonial concept similar to a market place influenced by the Spanish. It is actually a place for people to take some time to relax like breathing a fresh air (in a rural areas, if speaking of "fresh air"). Like any other "plaza", rural plaza is simpler than the urban plazas, but that depends on the area available for development.

Kalilangan New Bus Terminal (Photo in 2014)

Written : September 2014.

It has been awhile that I rested my pen and texts from my blogging activities. Sharing stories to the Bukidnon people about the present condition of our very own province. Like the present development of the Kalilangan, Bukidnon and its newly constructed Integrated Bus Terminal.

This bus terminal, whose construction was started way back the term of Mayor Suyao. My last visit of this town was I guess last 2012. During that visit, the construction of the said terminal was observed at least 80% on its completion stage. When I got back last week, just this August 2014, I was impressed not on the present completion which was already at 90% complete, but impressed in the sense that the present Mayor, Mayor Omarradji Pizarro, completed the project right after he assumed office last year.

Photo Shoot : A View to Kill in La Fortuna

Some Parts of Bukidnon has notable landscapes. But if we are so keen in finding one, that maybe called luck on  our part. Sometime creativeness would always be the key on how we could take photos like this one. I am not that kind of having a very good eye in photography especially on landscape category, but this photo would be a kind of luck for me.
